On February 5 and 12, 2004, we conducted Teacher In-Service Workshops for Middle and High School Teachers of Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analysis, and AP Statistics.  Below you will find information about the workshops and downloadable materials.  Enjoy!

Probability Review and Counting Fundamentals - Thursday, February 5, 2004, 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Huntsville City Schools Closed Circuit TV (ETV Channel 9).   Participants reviewed basic probability concepts including counting fundamentals.  Issues that tend to confuse students were covered in extra detail.  Example materials to use for teaching the concepts were provided.

Activity Based Materials for Learning Probability and Statistics - Thursday, February 12, 2004, 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Huntsville City Schools Closed Circuit TV (ETV Channel 9).  Activity-based curriculum materials to teach probability and statistics concepts were reviewed and demonstrated.  Additionally, an overview of the AP Statistics course and exam was presented.  Teachers left with materials that incorporate simulation, discovery learning and group work to enhance learning of statistical concepts covered in the AP Statistics and other data analysis courses.
