Directions and Parking

This link will give you directions to Longwood.   The standard LU directions point a visitor to the admissions office.  However, this weekend is Longwood's 'Spring Weekend' and there will be several other events ongoing requiring parking.  So, we have reserved parking spaces in the garage.  Please use the general directions until you arrive at Route 15 (South Main St) at Longwood University and then use the detail directions below for parking in the Brock Commons Garage and walking to the Chichester Science Center:

To reach the Brock Commons Garage on the Longwood University Campus, you will turn off Main St. on to Redford St. across from McDonald's restaurant. Travel about 2 blocks and you dead end at the garage entrance. Dan Druckenbrod has sent you all the access code to park in the garage.  The pound symbol is part of the code and must be pressed on the keypad following the numbers in order for the gate arm to lift. The keypad is located at the entrance to the garage and is easily reached from the car window. Please park in any open spaces.  Handicap parking is located directly to the right after entering the facility. Please note that this is Spring Weekend.  The west side exit of the garage will be closed to vehicular traffic.  Please use the garage elevator to reach the Brock Commons Pedestrian Mall.  Follow the sidewalk to the right and proceed about one block to the Beale Plaza (just past Hiner Hall).  Turn left and proceed about 1.5 blocks to the rear entrance of Chichester Science Center (Building 15 on this Campus Map).  You will enter the building on the ground floor and our workshop is up one floor in room 116.  If you enter the building from the High Street entrance go down the main hall and the lab will be on your left.  The workshop room has computers, but you are welcome to bring a laptop.

Lunch, as well as morning and afternoon snacks, will be provided at the workshop.
