Please Join us for a Summer Workshop for College Faculty on Using Activity- and Web-Based Materials in Post Calculus Probability and Statistics Courses!

WHO:  Post-calculus introductory probability and statistics course instructors interested in incorporating activities and web-based materials into their courses

WHAT:  NSF-sponsored 2 ½ day workshop

WHEN:  July 14 – 16, 2004

WHERE:  University of Alabama in Huntsville

WHY:  Participants will learn about activities and web-based materials for teaching post-calculus probability and statistics, model the classroom dynamics of using these materials, discuss alternative methods of assessment, and receive advice for implementing some or all of these materials into their courses.

Kyle Siegrist, University of Alabama in Huntsville

SUPPORT:  NSF funds will cover room, board, and registration costs.  Participants will be responsible for travel costs to Huntsville, AL.  Huntsville is located in beautiful north Alabama between Nashville and Birmingham.
