| Mathematics and Computer Science Colloquium Series | About once a month we invite a speaker to enlighten us on a topic of their interest! The link will take you to the Colloquium website where you can see future and past presentation topics and speakers. |
| The Pi Mu Epsilon Problem of the Month | Each month we pose a problem for all to solve. The link will show you past problems and those who solved the problem. Try it, you might like it! |
| The Virginia Piedmont Council of Teachers of Mathematics (PCTM) Fall Conference | PCTM primarily serves the counties of Amelia, Appomattox, Buckingham, Charlotte, Cumberland, Fluvanna, Lunenburg, Nottoway, Powahattan, and Prince Edward. For more information contact Dr. Sharon Emerson-Stonnell. |
| The COMAP Mathematical Modeling Competition | Each year we aim to field at least one team in the Consortium for Mathematics and Its Applications Contest in Mathematical Modeling Competition. | The Virginia Tech Regional Mathematics Competition |
Each year, Virginia Tech sponsors a regional mathematics competition. Over 130 colleges and universities in Virginia and surrounding states compete for prizes and glory. Contact Dr. David Shoenthal if you are interested in participating. |

| The Problem Solving Competition |
Each month a mathematics-focused problem, typically at the Calculus 1 level or higher, appears. The Longwood student with the most correct solutions in a school year is eligible to compete in the US National Collegiate Mathematics Championship, held at MathFest.
